If you’re considering home care solutions to help you take care of a loved one, you probably have a lot of questions about how to move forward. One of the biggest questions to address is what level of in-home care best meets your loved one’s needs? Finding the best level of care for your family member is more straight-forward than you might first imagine.
There are six different types of care. Depending on your family’s unique needs and circumstances, there’s a correct service for you. Here’s everything you need to know about flexible in-home care options and how Fedelta can help you choose the best fit.
Thankfully, you don’t have to figure out the best level of in-home care for your family on your own. With Fedelta, the first step is to contact us for a free Comprehensive In-Home Care Assessment. Through observation and conversation, we’ll be able to help you determine the best fit for you and your loved ones. From there, we’ll recommend one of the following levels of home care:
Once we’ve determined the right level of care together, we’ll begin a planning process. Fedelta’s team will develop a customized care plan, conduct a start-of-care caregiver orientation all while providing ongoing care management supervision.
We don’t lock our families into long-term contracts, because we understand that circumstances change. You can cancel our services at any time with an eight hour service notice.
Our services are available 24/7, so we’re always here to help. With that knowledge, here’s a further breakdown of our levels of care, so you have an idea of what our recommendation might be before we come for our care assessment.
During short shifts, at-home caregivers come to your home for two to six hours. This is a great option if you’re looking for senior care services, such as senior companionship. A senior companion can accompany your loved one to enrichment programs, help them grocery shop, or do activities around the house. Short shifts can make a big difference in the mental health of seniors.
Hourly care starts at four hours of care and goes up to 24 hours. This is great for people who need constant care. Hourly care allows primary caregivers to keep their part-time or full-time jobs, knowing that their loved ones are getting the care they require and deserve. You may want to utilize hourly care if you have a loved one with dementia, a chronic illness, or a terminal illness.
Fedelta offers up to ten hours of overnight care. If your loved one is a night owl or simply requires help with the bathroom or medications at night, overnight care is a wonderful solution. Overnight care is also great for parents who have children with medical needs, so parents are able to rest during their regular sleeping schedule.
